John McGrath, Mat Steinwade and Lee Woodward were my idols when I was in real estate, I really wish there was something like these guys in the selling new homes sector. I might have to be that person!

Messy ride home!

$25 for two hours all you can drink and all you can eat at the Southwark Hotel on port road. Great people great time. Also a great door prize. I always lose! Great day!

It wasn’t all bad, we bought a voucher off Livingsocial.com. The food was nice on my half of the table – to be honest anything that comes on a bridge is going to be great in my book!

Kyza (wife) got some raw meat that I ate, the taste wasn’t the best, the service was pretty bad too, we didn’t get asked once if we wanted a drink (thank Buddha we got a bottle of Sake at the start!), or did we get asked if we wanted any dessert or coffee.

There was no soap, toilet paper, or hand towel, but the ambiance was lovely and the waitress was cute.

It’s a shame, not a good experience I don’t think we’ll go back there

At functions, which side do I put my name badge?

 

There are a few different theories out there on this (well only really two theories as there are only two options) but I feel the answer is pretty simple: the left.

 

Placing your name badge at the upper left side of your jacket, shirt or work dress allows the person you are meeting to read your name easily; as you shake with your right hand it opens up your left side of your body to see the badge clearly.

 

Please do not place the badge sideways at the buttons of your shirt. How are we meant to meet you properly with our heads tilted all the way over to read it?

 

Basically what this means is we won’t get to see your name, so we won’t remember it to do business with you later.

I saw this and had to laugh, I seriously think it’s better to have it upside-down or sideways, it’s always a good icebreaker if you give a bit of a smile to who you’re introducing yourself (it helps my insecurity issues), just try not to come off as being an idiot. On your fly or around the belt region is a good start.

I just found Mykea! it allows you to put images on ikea furniture. They have templates to design your own, I just quickly put a Vespa elephant image from ‘My Pictures’ on a Billy bookcase to see what it would look like, awesome buying one now!

Now I just need a Billy to put it on. Roughly A$90 for the sticker, and A$46 delivery to Australia – bit pricey, but looks better then my skills with a paint brush.

I really hate my router, I used to have perfect wifi for a huge distance, then I had to connect to the net via AdamMax a Wimax network.

Value is great, I really like Adam Internet as a company, but the bloody Alvarion router keeps dropping out everyday on my laptop or iPhone. I have to go unplug the power cable on the router to reset it, gives me the shits!

Now one side of my bed is a deadspot! No posting in bed hmmm that sounds kinda sexual.
