Great service is everything these days, if you don’t have it – make sure you have really cheap products. People are consisently saying the internet is killing retailers. I feel that if you don’t give good service or train your staff on how to give good service then you deserve to go out of business.
Here is my example of an online company giving great service.
Last Thursday I downloaded an audiobook from Audible.com, the audiobook costs US$30 from the authors website, or US$5.59 from Audible. I purchased it as I had no credits left on my subscription. Throughout the audiobook it mentions following along with the workbook, Audible usually puts the associated files to be downloaded on the download page. Unfortunately I couldn’t find it.
I emailed support explaining my ‘blonde’ situation, I got an email back saying it should be where it should be. I had another look and sent them a screenshot. Carlos from support sent me back a very heartfelt apology saying that it was overlooked, and he’ll email me when the pdf workbook is available “here’s an additional $10 credit for your inconvenience”!
That is the best example of incredible service that I’ve been apart of.
Thank you Audible, you have won a customer for life.
