Just a quick pick from last Sunday. Verandah is done with our names on the end!
I’m so amazed people can be so fucking lazy! How hard can it be or how much time does it take to check a model number or a plan?
Some idiot has put the wrong kitchen sink in our kitchen bench top, I’m hoping that it’s not a different shape to the one we are meant to have, because then we’ll have to wait few more weeks until they replace the bench top. I’m feeling a little deja vu. Ohh that’s right, the wankers cut round holes in our vanity bench tops – for our SQUARE basins!
Another thing, why don’t we have a light out the front of our house? It appears they’ve missed that too!
All these mistakes have now put us behind schedule, now it’s costing us more money because we’re renting and paying mortgage. Half wits!
We’re getting close now, we still don’t have our 2nd hanging and shelving in our walk in robe, I’m a little disappointed with a few of the things that have gone wrong or been missed. I really don’t know if I would build with DH if I wasn’t working with them, but I guess it’s always ‘the better the devil you know’.

Today I got a bill from Distinctive Homes saying that I need to pay my next progress payment!
The slab went down on the 27th of January, now the wall and roof frames are up! Stoked!
Ok, I finally got around to getting the photos off the camera, I’ve found a nice little lamp post to lean against to take the photos, so they’ll generally be in the same place each time – which is also on the edge of our block.
btw, I can’t get the gallery to work – so you’re stuck with the dull way it looks 
Today I found out that my slab will be going down either on Friday or Monday.
I’m still trying to organise my first home buyer grant! They make it so f#cking hard!
I’ll post some photo’s soon.
This week we’ve decided on buying a house, it’s not huge, but it will have a good return due to the price we’re building it. I’m kind of looking forward to it, but I really don’t want to move from where we are now, I’ll miss it so much!

Using the median house price hopefully it will sell in the mid $300k’s.
Stepping stone is all we’re thinking, even in this low market.
