Wow… I was just reading back through my old posts and comments and realised I have done jack shit since may last year! I need a turn-around. Today I got some really bad news about personal finances, that is the one thing that really makes my gut twist into a knot. Like what my mentor Tony Robbins says (paraphrasing) “if it hurts or causes pain it usually means something has to change” – and change it is Tony – thanks buddy.
Today was great! It started with some oats for breaky, then a nice walk on the beach for about an hour or so… quite peaceful
I then went for 9 holes of golf at Belair (awful game! I shot 50 >_<)
Then we rushed to Belair Hotel to watch the rest of the Western Bulldogs game to which they smashed Richmond, a few beers later then I was home relaxing writing this post. I better get to bed for golf tomorrow morning.
Nite
Games day today!
A few people bailed, but I’m kinda glad they did – I had 10 people round and logistics were difficult enough. It was hard trying to keep things fun and people interested.
1:30pm: BBQ Started while we waited for a few to arrive.
Game 1. Golf-Chip:
Bazz was the winner (unfortunately I didn’t get any pics).
Game 2. Totem Tennis:
We got two sets in and then the ball broke… ;(
Game 3. Pebble Beach Putt Putt
Paterno won that game – not really much to report on, it was a mat on the grass – pretty simple.
The darkness started setting in…
Game 4. Horses for Courses
I’m not too sure who was winning as there was a fair bit of interference on the course from Davo (one of the Jockey’s).
Game 5. Dart Footy
Football was the game, I’m not sure who won, it was getting pretty messy by now.
Game 6. Texas Hold’em
We all needed to play, Pauly jumped to an early lead, then he cashed in and went home, then I cleaned up the rest of the cash – thanks guys.
We got a little bored and went for a walk to the IGA on the corner of Holbrooks and Henley Beach Road. We were approaching the deli and we saw this weird dark figure on the ground, we finally got closer and found it was a girl laying there on the concrete, the pic really tells how we found her.
Biz (in the pic) went and checked if she was still alive, pretty soon after, the security guard from IGA came out and checked what was happening, she jumped up and ran straight out onto the road – she nearly hit 3 cars (only by them either screaming on the brakes, or swerving hard). The Security dude ran after her and threw her onto the footpath and called the ambo. That was pretty much it, as soon as she started screaming that she needed more pills we were no longer needed.
Still a little hung over… Dad popped round to help me put up another sensor light and put together my WEAPON! It’s a beauty, come to think of it, I really didn’t do much to put it together, he really did umm… yeah all of it.
I was the test rider, she started farting and spluttering for a little while – then we changed the spark plug and now she runs like a dream.
I can’t wait to ride to work on Tuesday
Wow it’s day 3 already, as you can see my life has a theme… golf, footy, golf, footy, kylie, food, work. I’m trying to build on this but I’m only one man.

I actually wasn’t thinking too much about the shot – as you can tell by the cigarettes in the pic. It was just off the cuff as I was putting my spikes on.
I had the opportunity to get some really nice shots as the sun was coming down, the iphone camera just didn’t cut it. I’ll have to start carrying my BFDSLR when I go places.
