About Me
One of the hardest things for me to do is talk about myself. Growing up I have been influenced that it is very rude and selfish to talk about yourself and interests without being asked.
As this site is only about me, I will start with the small things and progress into larger more important items towards the end of the document (feel free to skip to the end at any time).
Hobbies & Sports
There's very little in regards to hobbies and sports for me in my ripe old age of 'over 25'.
I love playing sports, I'm just not a big fan of watching them (obviously dependant on the company at the time). Running and my Trials Bike are keeping me fit at the moment (They're doing a very lousy job!).
Work Ethic
To be brutally honest I'm not afraid of hard-work, I currently work as a Contracts Administrator for Distinctive Homes. I absolutely love the thrill of overcoming problems, and keeping busy, it's not uncommon for me to average 50 to 60 Hours a week. I enjoy a challenge be it mental or physical.
I was previously a Housing Consultant for the company - I really enjoyed the very simple concept behind sales and marketing, sell yourself, be honest, show integrity and people will purchase if their want/need is high enough.
I'm really enjoying Housing and land developments for the negotiation stages, and the many challenges and logistics that need to be put together like a jigsaw. Although I'm still new and I've been told that my passion will dither with the length of my career, I don't think it will as this is something I'm quite passionate about and understand.
Goals and Ambition
Many times I call it a goal, sometimes I call it an ambition, I always call it my to-do list.
Goals and Ambition are what some call a "means to an end", I agree they provide a roadmap, though they are far from being the only "means", I would be a very successful and powerful person if all I had to do was write down a goal. I have found you also need one other common ingredient to reach your goal, 'ACTION'. Without action your goal is simply a good intention, I have also found you can't live in big homes or drive fast cars with good intentions.
My many goals change and evolve everyday, it is hard to describe and list them here, I understand the power of writing down a goal, I make my friends and family write goals all the time (it's harder for me to get them to create the action I mentioned earlier). It is also much harder to ignore and has been committed to memory as soon as you write them down. As long as I keep challenging myself and create reachable [S.M.A.R.T.] goals/to-do's, I will become successful and reach every target I set for myself.
I have come from a place early in my career (and life) that was full of procrastination and lacked a great deal of direction. I am very fortunate and thankful for my previous positions, as they have pointed me to a future that I have learnt to map out. Many people have been amazed by how many jobs I've had, I can't deny I've had some experience at many things, these experiences are what have shaped my knowledge and know-how.
Long Term Goal
I've found this is usually a good indicator for one's Values and Priorities. My long-term life goal is much like what Andrew Carnegie did with his life, what Robert T. Kiyosaki, Donald Trump, Ted Turner are also doing, they are creating very large and powerful companies, to become wealthy enough to give everything back and make a difference to people world-wide. I don't claim to be a Saint, but I do claim that there is not enough people helping people who actually need help, I have a number of 'start-up' businesses that I'm working on that will empower people to help them make decisions beyond the typical stereo-type couch potato watching TV.In summary, my ultimate goal is to get out of the disappointing 'rut' Robert T. Kiyosaki (Author of Rich Dad Poor Dad) calls "The Rat Race", and add to the greater good, by creating something worthwhile so many people will be educated and empowered to make life's decisions that are needed everyday.
